Exquisite Lunch

After a sightseeing trip around North Devon, we stopped off at the Seagate Hotel for an exemplary lunch. The food was delicious and cooked well. The service was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff working last Saturday evening. We came for food with my 92 year old grandmother who isn’t able to walk very far. All the staff were great with her and made our evening so much easier. The food is also fantastic! Next time we’re in Devon we’ll be back.

Lovely Staff and Food

We visited a few times during our stay in Appledore; breakfast, dinner and drinks. Each time we found the staff to be lovely, welcoming and accommodating. The food was excellent with a good menu and specials board. Dog friendly. Very comfortable surroundings and great drinks. Highly recommended.

Sunday Night Getaway

Spent our honeymoon in Appledore 30 years ago so we decided to revisit and to stay in The Seagate. Warm welcoming staff when we arrived and when they showed us to our room, Wow, what a view. We had a sea facing room with endless views over the water. Room was clean and well presented and perfectly adequate for our stay. Bear in mind this is a pub first and foremost but it never felt like that at all. Evening meal was good, breakfast excellent and overall the staff looked after us very well and were very friendly. We will visit and stay again as it was such an enjoyable stay and really good value
