Kick back with a coastal break at The Seagate in North Devon. Situated in the heart of the pretty fishing village of Appledore, The Seagate is the perfect spot to explore the dramatic coastline of the South West Coastal Path and breathe in gallons of glorious fresh Atlantic sea air.

Then after a day out in the wild, return back to the pub for a hearty feast and a few local ales – you’ve earned it after all. In summer spend the evening wining and dining on our stunning sea view terrace, and in winter cuddle up next to our roaring fire with a hearty British dish. Plus, why not bring your four-legged friend?  We’re dog friendly too.

For us Sunday is like a big old hearty hug, our roasts are sacred, (in fact, we’d go as far to say as they’re probably the best in the world) think succulent cuts of slow-roasted West-Country beef, larger-than-life Yorkies and boat loads of chef’s proper gravy.

Family Friendly Stays

With a host of family-friendly activities on our doorstep, we can’t wait to welcome you to the Seagate for your next family break. With a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, our child friendly stays offer an additional bed for £15 per night for those aged 2-14 where available, with a complimentary stay for those under two.

Dog Friendly Stays

Our dog-friendly bedrooms provide everything you need to keep tails wagging this summer. Complete with their own doggy bed or blanket, bowl and tasty treats, plus a selection of scenic walks around Northam Barrows Country Park just a bones throw away, there’s no need to leave anyone behind this holiday. Up to two pooches can stay with you, where available, for an additional £15 each per room per night.
